Peter Njodzeka — filmmaker, founder of Penjo AI Academy

Peter Njodzeka — "Penjo"

I have spent more than 18 years behind the camera — as a photographer, videographer and documentary filmmaker. My work has taken me across Africa and beyond, producing films for organizations including WWF, UNDP and UNESCO, and earning multiple international awards.

When AI video arrived, I saw what most people missed: the tools are new, but the craft is old. Shot language, story structure, character, light — everything I learned directing real productions applies directly to directing AI. So I started making AI short films the way I make documentaries: with intention.

The results — cinematic AI shorts with real stories and consistent characters — are what this academy teaches. I don't teach button-clicking. I teach you to think like a filmmaker, because that is what makes AI output look professional.

I'm the founder and director of PenjoStudios Ltd, based in Chestermere, Alberta, Canada — and your personal mentor for five days.
